What Is Svchost.exe

There are many programs that run on your computer to make it work perfectly as a whole. All these programs need lots of information to run and carry out the essential processes that make using your computer a breeze. But what we don’t know is the huge amount of data and information that is required to run these operations perfectly.

All the data that is required to make your computer programs work smoothly are stored in DLL files. These are files that cannot be accessed directly by you. For these DLL files to run properly you need some other files which act as a medium for them. These are the EXE files. These are what svchost.exe files are and they help you run the DLL files that are present on your computer. Without svchost.exe you will not be able to access the DLL files at any cost. So these files are absolutely essential for the running of your computer.

You might have seen that at a time there are many svchost.exe files running. Why is that so? There are myriads of tasks that have to be performed by these files. If one svchost.exe is allotted all the tasks then an error in one will result in the complete failure of all the programs running on your computer. This is something that would result in a huge disaster for your computer and cause a lot of inconvenience.

So to make it simpler and more organized and foolproof, different services are allotted to different svchost.exe files. This makes sure that your system runs efficiently and perfectly and reduces the frequency of errors as well. In addition to that since the tasks are divided among many svchost.exe files it means that the efficiency of each one is brought up to a higher level.

Since this topic could be quite complex to understand we created a website which details all of the above steps in a simple how-to guide with screenshots. Take a look at our svchost.exe articles and fix your svchost.exe problems. You can also find some information on how to fix svchost errors on your computer.

Patrick Ewald Announces Epic Pictures Group acquires Parkour Skills

(1888PressRelease) Patrick Ewald, There is nothing quite like this film in the market. When I saw the trailer for this film, I knew that this was a really special movie.

Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA – Epic Pictures Group has just closed an acquisition of the Swedish parkour action film, SKILLS, directed by Johannes Pinter. Deal was negotiated directly between the producer of Timelock films, Tomas Amlov, and Epic Pictures Group CEO, Patrick Ewald.

SKILLS is a teen-action-drama that focuses on a various action sports such as parkour, skateboard, street dance and martial arts. The target audiences are teenagers and adults who like action films in general and action sports in particular.

According to Wikipedia: Parkour (sometimes also abbreviated to PK), also parcours, or l’art du déplacement (1) (English: the art of displacement) is the physical discipline of training to overcome any obstacle within one’s path by adapting one’s movements to the environment.(2) It is a non-competitive, physical discipline of French origin in which participants run along a route, attempting to negotiate obstacles in the most efficient way possible. Skills such as jumping and climbing, or the more specific parkour moves are employed. The object of parkour is to get from one place to another using only the human body and the objects in the environment. The obstacles can be anything in one’s environment, but parkour is often seen practiced in urban areas because of the many suitable public structures available such as buildings and rails. The term freerunning is sometimes used interchangeably with parkour.

Many people recognize the parkour style from the opening chase scene from James Bond’s Casino Royale.

Currently shooting, film will be completed after Cannes. Epic Pictures will be showing buyers a trailer cut from the rough footage.

“There is nothing quite like this film in the market. When I saw the trailer for this film, I knew that this was a really special movie. I am a huge fan of parkour and I find it one of the most exciting and thrilling urban sports. It is like looking a tightrope walker at 100 times the speed.” says Patrick Ewald, CEO of Epic Pictures Group.

The movie stars one of the world’s leading parkour-artists, Swedish Marcus Gustafsson, as well as one of Sweden’s greatest female skateboarders, My Magnusson. Martial artist Tim Man, seen in ONG BAK 2 and STREETFIGHTER: LEGEND OF CHUN LI, is also included in the cast. Director Johannes Pinter has previously directed the horror film SLEEPWALKER.

Timelock Film AB is a small Swedish production company focusing on development and production of feature films, in the comedy-, drama- and action genre, targeting the young audience. We also provide post production and script consultant services for TV- and feature film production. The company was founded in 2001 and has a background as vast background in producing shorts. The short/novella-film “THE OTHER SIDE” won the Swedish Filminstitute Award 2003, and participated in competition in Locarno.

Skills synopsis: Kelvin is an average teenager struggling with his loyalty to his friends, conflicts with his father, and practicing his main interest in life – parkour. After his father is shot and ends up in a coma during a police case, Kelvin starts his own search for the perpetrator. Kelvin soon finds an underground world of sub cultures with their own rules. Kelvin is forced into a violent battle of skills in an urban gladiator game. A game that not only forces him to stretch his parkour talents, but also questions his moral boundaries – how far is he willing to go for family and friends?

Writer/Director – Johannes Pinter: Debuted with the dark thriller “Sleepwalker” in 2000. The feature won the New Blood Award in the French thriller film festival in Cognac, and was nominated for Best Movie in the Sitges International Film festival in Spain. Oscar winning producer Mark Johnson (“Rain man”, “Narnia”) picked up the American remake rights for “Sleepwalker”. As a writer, he penned two versions (uncredited) for the American actioner “Pathfinder” directed by Marcus Nispel. His latest writing job was the adaptation of the Swedish bestselling novel “Odjuret” (“The Beast”) by authors Roslund and Hellstrom (“Box 21″). Pinter is also an editor, with several features under his belt from countries like Norway, Ireland, Bulgaria and of course Sweden. He is one of Scandinavia’s most renowned trailer producers. Among the titles with trailers signed Pinter is Swedish “Let the right one in”, “Arn – the knights templar” and several “Wallander” movies, as well as Danish “Flame and Citron”, Russian action-thriller “Newsmakers”, Norwegian blockbusters “Max Manus” and “Kautokeino”, and horror franchise “Fritt vilt” (“Cold prey”). http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0750259

Producer – Tomas Amlöv – 35 years old computer-geek retrained as a movie-producer. Among the films I produced is THE OTHER SIDE that highlighted the Swedish immigration policy and won the Swedish Film Institute, short-/novellofilm award in 2003 as well as participated in competition in Locarno international film festival.

DoP, Ola Magnestam: Constantly engaged cinematographer of TV- and short films. The images for the 2009 student-Oscar winner ELKLAND are one of many strong feats. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1327520/

Cast:
Marcus Gustafsson (KELVIN): Considered one of the best parkour/freerunning artists in the world. Got a gold medal in the “style” event at the world championship in parkour in Hamburg 2008. Done a lot of commercial gigs for the likes of RED BULL, PEAK PERFORMANCE, SVT and TV4 among others.

My Magnusson (LINDA): Plays Kelvin’s love interest Linda. One of Sweden’s most skillful female skateboarders. Has toured Sweden with the No Limit Tour: the greatest female skateboarders in the country together on one ramp.

Tim Man (MONK): Plays Kelvin’s mentor Monk. Actor and stunt coordinator with focus on martial arts movies. Been working as an actor and stunt double in Swedish features FROSTBITE and GÖTA KANAL 2, and the international successes ONG BAK 2 and STREET FIGHTER: LEGEND OF CHUN LI. Has great insight and experience in movie action.

Sean Banan (STRETCH): Sina “Sean Banan” big breakthrough was the dance-docu-show FLOOR FILLER where he reached the final. But he became a national celebrity after participation in the tv-show “circus Möller”. His popularity comes both from great dancing skills and his way of always making people laugh.

GUIDE TO INCREASE YOUR VERTICAL LEAP

GUIDE TO INCREASE YOUR VERTICL LEAP

There are a lot of reasons to want to increase vertical leap. Most athletes find that in many traditional sports: basketball, soccer, football, volleyball, tennis, and baseball; the ability to leap higher than others is a significant advantage. There are even competitions, especially in track and field, specifically designed around being able to leap high. The desire to increase your vertical leap is not only a means to achievement in other sports, but is also its own athletic endeavor.

There are a few keys to increase vertical leap. There are two crucial things to remember before working out and trying to strengthen these leg muscles. The first is to always stretch before you work out. If you neglect this aspect of the process your legs won’t get all the potential benefit of the workout. The other is to give your legs a rest at least two days a week. They will get the maximum benefit from the workouts with a sustained exercise program of four or five workouts a week for many weeks. This is much better for your legs than an aggressive daily program over only a few weeks. It also is helpful to understand the muscles in the leg and how they interact with each other to help you leap. The main muscle groups in your legs are the quadriceps, located on the front of the thigh; the hamstrings, located on the back of the thigh; and the calves, located on the back of your lower legs. The main muscles involved in leaping are the quadriceps and calves. These are the muscles that extend the legs. The more you can strengthen these muscles, the more you can increase vertical leap. The hamstrings are also important to leaping but their role is more in the pre-stage to leaping, i.e. running into a leap or tightening your legs to then extend and explode into a leap.

Strengthening your muscles is absolutely essential to increase vertical leap. The best way to strengthen your calves is a very simple exercise: leaping rope. Besides being a great cardiovascular workout it is a tremendous workout for the fast twitch muscles in your calves. Another great way to strengthen you calves is to do regular things like running, doing stairs, and other exercises while on your toes. That creates a tremendous amount of strength in the calf muscles. The best way to strengthen your quadriceps is to simply do as many leaping exercises as you can. There are also some strength training options as well such as squats and leg presses as well as machines specifically targeted towards the hamstrings and quadriceps. These are some of the ways you can increase vertical leap.

My name is Howard Renn and as a coach and sports enthusiast i believe that proper training is vital to one’s overall performance. I found an excellent vertical training program that any serious athlete can benefit from. So for proper training and to increase your vertical leap go to:http://www.increaseverticalleapsite.com

World Cup 2006 Preview – Sweden

Outright Odds: 50/1
Group B Winners: 9/4

Sweden battled their way through an awkward qualifying group which included Croatia, Bulgaria, Hungary and Iceland and qualified as one of the two best placed runners-up. The Swedes lost narrowly 1-0 to Croatia both home and away but eight wins out of eight against the rest of their opponents saw them level on points.

The Swedes boast excellent organisation at the back and their defence shipped just four goals in 10 qualifying matches. Goalkeeper Andreas Isaksson was a revelation in qualifying, arguably making one mistake against Iceland in a match Sweden won comfortably. The Rennes stopper is a worthy replacement for the veteran Thomas Ravelli who won over 100 caps for his country.

Sweden also have good attacking options to compliment a resolute back line. The current darling of Swedish football, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, blasted in eight goals in 10 qualifying games while his creativity allowed the marauding Fredrik Ljungberg to score seven goals from midfield.

Ibrahimovic came of age at Euro 2004 with a stunning back-flick goal against Italy which lead to Juventus buying him for approximately £11 million the following August. He proved his mettle for scoring when it matters the most with an injury-time winner away at Hungary in a cruch-qualifier.

Veteran striker Henrik Larsson, a member of the Sweden squad who finished third in the 1994 finals, also adds an extra option in attack as he seeks one final hurrah before retiring from the game.

Despite thrashing their opponents in qualifying, rattling in 27 goals, 13 of which came against poor Malta, the defeats against Croatia raise question marks over whether they can repeat their glorious appearances of the past.

This is Sweden’s eleventh appearance at the World Cup finals. They hosted the tournament in 1958 and scored after four minutes against Brazil in the final. However, a 17-year-old Pele scuppered their plans and the Brazilians ran out 5-2 winners. They have also reached the semi-finals in 1950 and 1994 so there is a lot to live up to.

The fans will expect them to improve on a frustrating appearance in the 2002 finals when they topped the first round group ahead of both England and Argentina but lost in the second round after extra-time against surprise package Senegal.

Recommended Bet:
It will be a tight battle between Sweden and England to win Group B, with both sides likely to decide who tops the group when they meet in the final game. Past meetings have been close and they drew 1-1 when they played in Group F’s opening fixture four years ago. A repeat performance is the recommended bet.

Sweden vs England draw @ 11/5
Sweden vs England 1-1 correct score @ 5/1

FIFA World Club Championship Final vs Sao Paulo – lost 1-0.
Champions League Last 16 vs Benfica – lost 3-0 on aggregate.
FA Cup Final vs West Ham United (n) – won 3-1 on penalties with the score at 3-3 after extra time.
Carling Cup Third Round vs Crystal Palace (a) – lost 2-1.

Top Goal Scorer 2005/06: Steven Gerrard (midfield) – 23 goals.

Players In
Jermaine Pennant (Birmingham City – £6,700,000), Craig Bellamy (Blackburn Rovers – £6,000,000), Gabriel Paletta (Banfield – £2,000,000), Fabiano Aurelio (Valencia – Free).

Players Out
Dietmar Hamann (Manchester City – £400,000), Bruno Cheyrou (Rennes – Undisclosed), Carl Medjani (Lorient – Undisclosed), David Raven (Carlisle United – Free), Ramon Calliste (Scunthorpe United – Free), Conal Platt (Bournemouth – Free), Zak Whitbread (Millwall – Free), Chris Kirkland (Wigan Athletic – Loan), Djibril Cisse (Marseille – Loan).

Liverpool endured a long 2005/06 campaign which began with them defending their Champions League crown against Welsh minnows TNS in mid July, saw them travel to Japan to participate in the World Club Championships a week before Christmas and ended with them winning the FA Cup in May.

This season won’t be anywhere near as arduous but manager Rafael Benitez has added reinforcements after last season’s mammoth campaign which saw the Reds involved in 63 matches.

Benitez signed the Premiership’s form player of last season in Blackburn Rovers striker Craig Bellamy. Liverpool triggered a clause in the Welsh international’s contract, allowing them to speak to him should they offer £6 million. After a difficult spell at Newcastle United, Bellamy flourished at Ewood Park last season and scored 17 goals in 26 appearances last season.

Benitez has signed another of football’s “bad boys” in Birmingham City winger Jermaine Pennant. The 23 year old signed a four year deal and the transfer fee could increase up to £8 million from the initial down payment of £6.7 million. In 2005 he became the first Premeirship footballer to play while wearing an electronic tag.

Other arrivals include Brazilian left-back Fabio Aurelio who signed on a free transfer from Valencia while central defender Gabriel Paletta joined for £2 million from Argentine side Atletico Banfield. Chilean winger Mark Gonzalez is eligible to play after being granted a work permit a year after joining the Reds.

Verdict
Liverpool could go one better than their third place finish last season and look a solid bet to win the Premiership “without Chelsea” at 9/4 odds.

3 Best-kept Clothing Store Secrets in Paris

Oh mon Dieu! Not all of us visiting Paris have the wherewithal to spend 00 on this irresistible couture blouse, or the all-time favorite little black dress. Let us be realistic: going on a shopping spree in Paris can be hard on our finance. Fashionistas of the world, let’s sin no more, and shop smartly from now on!

Expensive? A matter of area, mostly

Those of you who visited Paris already know that from a shopper’s perspective, the city is divided in broad sections where stores of the same trade tend to congregate. A mosaic of many colors, tastes, and price ranges.

Say, you are on the Boulevard Saint Germain, in the upper part of the Saint Germain des Prés district. Designer clothing stores, sidewalk cafés and restaurants abound in this area. Draw nearer the river Seine and your footsteps lead you where the art galleries cluster together. Walk a bit to the east, towards rue de Buci, the clothing stores become less expensive.

From Saint-Germain, walk up the Rue de Rennes, towards the Montparnasse area. You’ll be crossing the Rue Du Four where even more expensive clothiers line up the facades. But continue on to the Saint Sulpice metro station, around which many clothing stores offer cheaper garments and accessories.

Sales season in Paris

In another area of the city, not too far from the old Opera house, the Boulevard Haussmann became the homestead of the department stores over a century ago. The Printemps store was built there in 1865, followed closely by the Galeries Lafayette, in 1893. Department stores are not unlike Ali Baba’s treasure cave: clothes, shoes, jewelry, watches, accessories, perfumes spread on a five-story high, gigantic floor space.

Department stores offer a very convenient way of shopping for fashion: thousands of upscale items can be found over acres of floor space. This includes apparel, accessories, perfumes, cosmetics, watches, shoes, and other goodies. A great selection, but bargains are far and between except during the sales seasons.

The latter are a tightly regulated business in France. There are two sales seasons, winter and summer. Their starting dates are a matter of administrative decrees, and each of the two seasons last six weeks only. The Parisian winter sales season starts at the end of January, the summer one begins in late June.

Designer depot bargains

But outside the sales seasons, shoppers looking for bargain-basement prices and irresistible clearances must look elsewhere. It is my experience that the best bargain prices on clothing offered in Paris are found at designer depots.

Though it has become a brand name in North America, a designer depot is in fact a form of commerce. People like you and me bring in clothes we don’t want to wear anymore, and get a little money from the shop owner who will resell our garments for a little more money to other people.

I can hear your blasé comments: “Tcha! Consignment stores! Thrift shops!…” Well, in Paris, designer depots aren’t exactly your regular Salvation Army-type stores. Not at all.

Parisian designer depots are usually owned and managed by ladies with a flair for fashion. A number of them have a professional experience in the fashion industry, and if invited to do so, most of them can tell you right away which dress fits you well…. and which skirt makes you look like you dressed with a potato bag.

In ‘designer depot”, there is the magic word ‘designer’. Parisian designer depots offer designer and couture clothes at deep, deep, deep discounts. And mind you, clothes in quasi perfect condition. Clothes worn only once. Well, maybe twice.

If you come to them with your regular hoodies, or your last season tennis shoes, or your mall-shopped polo shirt for that matter, do not expect to be welcomed. Expect rejection with a disapproving stare instead.

That’s the address, silly!

Now not all designer depots were created equal, and where you go shopping for practically-perfect-in-every-way designer clothes is the true measure of your inside knowledge of the city.

I would like to recommend you three ‘petites adresses’ [the French for 'best-kept-secret places'] I selected amongst a host of others.

For those of you, ladies, who like the classic look, ‘Priscilla’ is the shop for you. Priscilla is lady who owns the place. She reveres such signature names as Yves Saint Laurent, Max Mara, Kenzo, Chistian Dior, and Sonya Rykiel. Her prices range from €60 for a skirt, to €75 for a jacket, to €130 for a lady’s suit. Priscilla advises you to rummage around, and come to her place with an open mind. The shop is located at 4 rue Mouton- Duvernet, in the 14 th district. The nearest metro station is Mouton-Duvernet. Its opening hours are between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm on Monday, and between 11:00 am and 7:00 pm from Tuesday to Saturday with a one-hour break at 1:30 pm.

My next address, ‘Le Jupon Rouge’, is situated at 9 rue de Rochechouart in the 9th district. The owner, Tania, describes here designer depot as “colorful, ethnic but not hippie, and certainly not classical in style”. Tania offers a selection of up and coming French designers such as Bali Barret (a fencing-style vest for €45, cashmere blend cardigans for €45 to €100) and Vanessa Bruno (wool jackets, €90). She also carries more established signatures such as Agnès B (her signature black jacket is offered at €50), and vintage Ungaro blouses for €45. Ladies looking for shoes can fall for pairs of Stephane Kelian low-cut Cuban boots (€100), Repetto ballerina shoes (€40), or vintage low-heel horse-riding boots (€40-70). Tania opens her doors from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10:30 am to 7:30 pm with a one-hour lunch break at 1:30 pm.

In a totally different style, Griff-Troc is the designer depot you need to lose yourself into when you want to go chic-chic-chic. The owner, Beatrice, chose to specialize in perennial, classic basics in perfect condition. Chic has a heftier price tag, of course, but on the upside Griff-Troc offers brand names for 15-30% of boutique prices. On the shelves at the time I wrote this article, Beatrice had a Chanel suit for €1000 (vs. €5000 at Chanel’s), a brand-new Chloe bag for €800 (instead of €1200), several astounding evening dresses priced between €1200 and €1500 (Chloe, Dior, D&G, Valentino), and Hermès silk scarfs on offer for only €150. She maintains a full selection of bags, jewels, and fragrances. Chic classic never dies, who cares about whether your Chanel suit is this season’s or not? The busy boutique is located in the posh section of the 17 th district, at 119 Boulevard Malesherbes. The nearest metro stations are Villiers and Monceau. Its opening hours are between 10:30 am and 7:00 pm, from Monday to Saturday.

More shopping tips to come

I will come back to you with other names and addresses in future articles on this topic. I personally enjoy shopping these boutiques, and based on the number of smartly dressed women I spot there, I am not alone in the belief that such bargains cannot be let pass. Till then, I salute all unrepentant fashion shoppers!

Citroen C5 – The Image Of French Sedan

Citroen C5 is the large sedan car for adults who crazy about the French style automotive design. The exterior of C5 shows memorable and dignified image. Large front lights are designed by the aerodynamic theory and the few gradient of its make the luxurious feeling. Besides, Front Citroen logo, hood, fender and front bumper are designed to create the car’s image modern. This is the French blending between with classic style and modern style actually.

The report news described about C5 which began manufactured in 2003 that Citroen spend 6,900 million franc to invest in the R&D process and the marketing survey. The C5’s factory, which can produce 920 cars per day, is on Rennes-la-Janais of France. It uses the new platform that developing process take time 3 year. C5 is designed by modern design technology, and it received the strict safety standard and environment standard. The suspension kit, uses the 3rd generation Hydrative system which is entity of Citroen, can reduce the vibration well and it has good road surface gripping attribute.

Citroen had offered three C5’s engine choice. First choice is the V6 benzene engine which has 3,000cc plunger’s capacity with 24 valves. It can generate 152 Kw or 210 Hp. powers at 6,000 rpm, 285 Newton-meters or 30 kilogram-meters torque at 3750 rpm and 232 Km/Hr maximum speed. And the distinctive thing of this engine is VTC (Variable Timing Camshaft) system which can control open-close degree of valves by accelerating rate and engine’s cycle.

Second choice is the benzene straight engine which has 2,000cc plunger’s capacity with 16 valves. It can generates 100 Kw or 138 Hp. powers at 6,000 rpm, 190 Newton-meters or 19.8 kilogram-meters torque at 4,100 rpm and 202 Km/Hr maximum speed.

And the last choice is the 2.0 HDi diesel engine which has a high pressure diesel injection system and common-rail nozzles. It can generate 80 Kw or 110 Hp. powers at 4,000 rpm, 275 Newton-meters torque at 1,750 rpm and 188 Km/Hr. maximum speed. The direct-injection with common-rail high pressure pump which is controlled by ECU and the Variable Geometry Turbo Charger give the good performance on every speed and reduce 20 percent of gasoline usage. And additional merit of C5’s diesel engine is the low loudness like the benzene engine. For those who are interested in sampling French culture, Paris will always be the highlight of a camping holiday in France, and there are numerous campsites that give convenient access to the capital city.
